PHY 104 (B31)

Professor B. Lecocq & M. Bouazaoui
Methods Lectures, Seminar, Practical work, Independent Study
  3 weeks
Prerequisites Scalar & vector functions with one variable (modules MAT 101 (B13) & MAT 102 (B21)). Basic physics notions such as forces and energy.
ECTS

This class aims to teach student engineers to :
- manipulate scalar functions with 2 or 3 variables

- to calculate double and triple integrals

- to use current vector operators

- to make the link between the notions of circulation, flow and the associated differential forms.

This class covers :
- Scalar and vector functions with 2 or 3 variables: limits, continuity, partial derivation, differentiability, ends

- Curvilinear integrals

- Double and triple integrals

- Notions of partially derived equations

- Line integral Flux function

- Gradient, divergence, curl or rotational, laplacian

- Differential forms of electrostatic and magnetostatic laws

Exam without document to check if we touched the goal + The synthetised work done during the module.
