To combine two projects into a single project dealing with both aspects : the research and development project and the action project. Indeed, the procedure for a project carried out in a business environment begins by an investigation, analysis and planning phase, to be followed by phase of implementation proper and finishes by a phase of testing, evaluation and reporting.

Report :
The trainee will write a report to be assessed jointly by the Tutor and the Practising Lecturer as well as giving a viva at which they will both be present. A "Methodology and Management Correspondant" will also attend the viva. This report should fulfil the two objectives outlined in the document which describes the objectives of both the Research and Development and Action Projects. The body of the report should contain one Development part and one Action part. This part should set out to present the aims of the project for the company, the methods and means used, with the necessary justification, the results and recommendations as well as the economic justification, personal contribution.

VIVA :
The student-engineer will have 25 minutes to present a synthesis of the report and to emphasize the points considered to be the most important. This viva will be interrupted by the president of the jury at the end of the time allowed. It will not therefore be a question of resuming the document in the strict proportions of each chapter, nor of giving a lecture on one or other of the algorithms detailed in the report but of bringing out the principal themes and conclusions, the main results, the benefits from a personal, human and technical point of view etc..
