This class aims to initiate student engineers to the techniques of design, and development of simple electronic circuits. The course uses a project approach in a laboratory setting. Students work in groups and learn to use CAD solutions to design, build, and test their creations which include final printed circuit boards. Each project is centered on the theme of analog-digital conversion and hardware-software compatibility. Teamwork and cooperation are stressed as well as time management.
The course covers :
- Literature review relevent to circuit design
- CAD design and simulations (computer-based or using models)
- Technology of integrated circuits
- Analog-Digital and Digital-Analog Conversion
- Hardware building
- Measuring and Testing
- Evaluation
