  30 hours
Prerequisites Initiation to probability and statistic theories. Initiation to data structures, data trees and data graphs.
ECTS 5

Study of telecommunication networks with a probabilistic based modelling.

- Basic concepts and introduction to the Markov chains which are based on probability theory.
- Modelling of traffic flow laws in order to be able to evaluate the average number of rejected clients, the average response time and the average queue lenght in a network.
These results will help to forsee needed means and to size the network structure.
- Introduction to graphs theory.
- Its application field covers the packets routing problematic within an interconnected network.

Individual global synthesis of the Unit of Value: coefficient 2
Individual control: coefficient 1
